Following the significant fluctuations of the British Pound against the Euro over the last months, Containerships will apply a CAF (Currency Adjustment Factor) to all transports to and from Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). The CAF will be calculated as a % of the freight price. CAF will not apply to freight additional charge items such as BAF.
The zero reference point for the CAF scale has been set to GBP = 1,20 EUR corresponding to January 2017 CAF level of 0%.
The first possible CAF adjustment will take place as from February 1st 2017.
